Autonomous security engineering requires more than promises. PHANTOM is built with 5 unbreakable red lines, an 8-layer defense model, and verifiable multi-tenant isolation.
Target source code, environment secrets, and runtime artifacts never leave customer-authorized boundaries. Model gateways receive only sanitized snippets.
Zero disruptive payload execution against live production systems. Validation runs strictly in isolated micro-VM sandboxes.
Analysis is mathematically bounded to authorized repository targets. Network egress to arbitrary IP addresses is blocked by host-level iptables.
PHANTOM never generates phishing lures, impersonates employees, or attempts human compromise. The system is strictly code and infrastructure offensive research.
Exploit proofs are minimal viable reproductions (PoCs) designed solely to demonstrate impact and verify fixes — never weaponized for external delivery.
Every pipeline action traverses all eight verification boundaries in strict sequence.
Every agent action is evaluated against Open Policy Agent Rego policies before execution.
All generated commands and scripts undergo signature scanning for known dangerous patterns prior to execution.
Validation runs in gVisor container runtimes nested inside Firecracker micro-VMs (~125ms boot) with no host filesystem access.
Potentially high-impact actions require explicit human-in-the-loop cryptographically bound sign-off.
Automated rate, token, and cost budget governors halt execution if anomaly thresholds are exceeded.
Redis and PostgreSQL backed kill switches operate outside model reach. The LLM cannot disable its own circuit breaker.
Kernel-level execution tracing monitors system calls, socket creation, and process execution in real time.
Every decision, command, observation, and gate evaluation is persisted to a tamper-evident audit ledger.
PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) with forced tenant context on every query. Tenant ownership propagates strictly from authenticated scan session tokens, never browser parameters. Unauthenticated requests receive 401/403 fail-closed responses.
Destructive operations (e.g. data deletion, repository unlinking, kill switch manipulation) require TOTP verification. Actions execute through session tokens with verified MFA flags, preventing CSRF or stolen browser session abuse.
Configurable retention policies (design-partner defaults: scans/reports 30 days, validation artifacts 14 days). Deletion is transactional across PostgreSQL, Redis, GCS, and memory. Partial deletion fails closed and alerts operators.
Staging and production workloads run on Google Kubernetes Engine with Workload Identity federation (no static service-account keys in containers). Storage permissions are strictly bucket-scoped. Sandbox micro-VMs are blocked from accessing cloud instance metadata endpoints (`169.254.169.254`).
SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001 certification efforts are planned as future milestones; no certifications are claimed today. PHANTOM adheres strictly to present-tense honesty: we do not claim certifications we have not yet completed.
